simple rear brake question

Default simple rear brake question

on a 98 jimmy ,is the rear brake caliper piston the screw in type or can it just be compressed with a C clamp ?

Push in type. The rear parking brake is an internal drum type that is located inside the 'hat' of the rotor.

I had a shop replace the rear pads a year or two back on a 98 Blazer. After I got the car back the rear brakes were dragging and I was told (maybe here) that you have to replace the rear calipers because they have plastic pistons and the pistons won't retract due to wear. Replaced both rear calipers and things worked just great!
