Smoking Jimmy
Doesnt look like its the distributor o-ring. I'm pretty positive whats leaking is motor oil after I burnt a little ATF and a little motor oil to recreate the smell. Also compared the smell of the fluids themselves.
One thing I figured I should add that I thought was wierd was when my father and I changed the right valve cover gasket about two months ago, it felt like the bolts just stopped going in and it didnt feel like the compressing of the new gasket. Do the valve cover gaskets just seat and fill the gap or do they compress for a tight seal?
Also, if this was the problem can the oil only leak out when the engine is really hot and run for a long time? Thanks

And no, they have to be compressed. But not TOO much. Add washers or get shorter bolts. MAY need a new gasket.
