Starting without remote control
Hi out there,
for my 2001 Blazer I got two keys but one remote control.
Is there any way to start the thing without the remote or do I have to buy a 2nd remote.

Well the romote should just be a door opener and locker, so you should be able to use the other key without it unless you have a seperate key for the ignition or something.

When I want to start the thing without using the remote to open the doors it will not start by turning the key and "security" apears in the dash.
The same will happen when I wait two minutes after open the doors with the remote.
When I press the open button of the remote and start again it works.
I think is it something with the immobilizer-

Is it an aftermarket security feature/alarm?

No, that feature seems to be original.
Is it possible to deactivate the immobilization of the car?

Sounds like somehow the factory alarm is not disarming when the door is unlocked.
