Post Steering Issue '02 2WD Blazer

2002 2WD Blazer/Auto
I purchased this truck already dropped, was told it was a kit but i'm starting to think otherwise. When i turn 90%+ lock either way it feels like it's binding to the point the truck will stop as if braking. In reverse it will actually hop a tire at full lock. Speeds above 60mph. it feels like it is swaying like as if the toe was out jumping in and out of highway ruts. Is there any way to tell if the spindal is stock or drop, point of reference and measurement? Seems to be a healthy stack of shims on the upper control arms. Tire wear is even and visually looks good on camber while wheels are turned. i have only driven it about 2k miles since i got it. Lowering blocks in rear are seated and tight and still on stock wheels. What i'm asking here is would the lowering cause this behavior and what to look for when i tear it down?

PS: Steering feels tight with less than 1/2" in the steering wheel play and handles curves like a ... uhhh.... car.
