Default Suggestions for getting CAT out???

I have a 1998 blazer that I finally got loose(broke 5 bolts), which way do I need to try and get this Cat out? I would assume go toward the muffler, but do I need to remove the muffler to do so?

Also any suggestions on getting the old bolts out of the flange or is it pretty much time to get out the 3 pound hammer.

Thanks for any help.

I have already purchased a bolt on cat, I guess I could take it back but kinda wanted to keep the blazer in factory condition just in case I wanted to sell it.

If you don't have air tools to get the old bolts out... It will probably be difficult. If you have a small propane torch (plumbers torch), then you can put a bit of heat into it and that may help to break things loose. You may have to cut the bolts off if nothing else works...
