Sway Bar end link removal.
OK, so I am now replacing my sway bar end links. After busting my nuckles, swearing, using a BFH I couldn't get the bolt out. That is when I decided to do a little searching and found out the OEM links have a stamped washerr that actually threads down into the top bushing. Doh!!!! Well, I got that removed and now I still cant get the bolt and the rest of the end link out. Is there something else I am missing??? Does anybody have any trick of the trade that would help????
if ya have a torch burn them out, otherwise if ya have a sawzall cut them out.. Once you remove the top nut if they have a sleeve on the bolt it gets rusted to the bolt cut as close to the top of that sleeve and close to the bottom then it should fall out of the control arm
Well, I just used a pipe wrench on the spacer and cranked like a "*****" on the end of the bolt and broke the head of the bolt off. I love taking things off that I am just replacing. Then I don't have to worry about breaking anything. My new sway bar end links are now installed. Thanks for the rapid response, 2002XTREME.
