Default Tack bouncing at wot and power loss

2000 blazer 4x4. Has a rough idle drives fine until trying to pass. The transmission kicks down and the tach bounces at redline (theres a clicking sound from the passenger side) and loses power check engine light comes on but goes away before I can check the code.

Was just looking around and discovered the maf was installed backwards so I turned it around rough idle is gone but still has the other issues. Also checked the trans fluid after test drive and its good.

Why are you going to WOT to hit passing gear, do as you wish but can be hard on things.
Sounds like trans is slipping or down shifting too far when trying to pass and you are over revving the engine hitting the rev limiter and floating the valves.
Is the trans fluid pinkish or brownish / black?
How did you check the fluid level, on level ground, warm, running and park?

I went wot because of a short passing zone on a 2 lane highway. Yes I checked the trans fluid warm running and parked on level ground. The fluid is red and between the warm lines on the dip stick. I finally caught the code before it dissapeared it's P0335. So I need a crankshaft posititon sensor. Is there a way to do the relearn on that without going to a dealer? And is there a specific brand I should use?
