Default Teflon for a check valve

Is there a special teflon tape for high temp applications, or could I just put a little high temp silicone on it?

I know some people like to try to use it everywhere (like on flare fittings, etc), but PTFE tape is only good for threads that seal (pipe threads only)! I too am curious where you want to use it in a high temp application.

Default smog pump check valves

I'm getting ready to replace the check valves for the smog pump. they are at the end of a piece of tubing about 6 inches from the exhaust manifold, so I'm guessing they are going to get hot. They are 3/4" pipe thread, so I imagine that they won't be air tight without some kind of sealer.

Factory doesn't use or recommend using any type of thread sealer for the check valves. If I was going to use anything, it would be anti seize, so I can get it apart the next time it fails.

Thank you, that's the way I'll do it.
