Default temp gauge drop off

well I did replace my fuel pump this weekend and now while driving my temp gauge drops off and the car wants to stall or does stall. there is times that I can pedal through it but others not. why would my tmp gauge be droping out ? if it is air how could you bleed it out. I have tried driving around with rad cap loose.

If it is not air in the cooling system, you may have a wire grounding out.

Have you recently serviced the cooling system?

Check your fuel pressure and leakdown, sounds like a typical aftermarket fuel pump check valve problem, (VERY common).

Temp drop off might be faulty temp sender, low coolant level, (air pocket), or faulty thermostat.
