Default Ticking Sound

My 98 Blazer started ticking lately and the oil pressure gauge i notice stays at about a quarter. There's plenty of power though and blazer seems to run fine but the ticking noise and low pressure gauge ??

May be a sticky lifter, but hook up a manual oil pressure gauge and verify the pressure.

Default Clean the motor

Try putting some Seafoam in the oil.

I went to my mechanics today and he did not check the compression but just by listening to it he said my engine was done. Valves clacking and bearings letting go also. He said it could have been caused by my leaking upper intake which i only got fixed about 2 months ago but was leaking for almost a year. Might have leaked prestone inside. Pretty disapointing as it still goes well and has power but he said it could let go anytime ?
