Default Tow hitch question

Hi everyone, I will need to flat-tow my 1970 Chevelle with my 2004 Blazer for a short trip.
I have checked into everything and should be good to go, but my hitch that mounts on my Blazer only drops about 2 inches. Do I have to get a hitch that drops a few inches to be level with the front of the car I am towing with? Thanks!

generally a tow bar hinges at the vehicle being towed bumper
I don't think it would matter like towing a trailer where you want the trailer nearly level

Another problem I have been having is finding tow tabs to use on the Chevelle that I will be towing. The only tabs I find are universal tabs, which is fine with me, I just don't know how I will make it work.

I have seen ones that hook over the top and bottom of the bumper with a U bolt to tighten the clamp effect
to avoid damaging the bumper I would probably try to bolt directly to the end of the frame tabs

BTW what do you consider a "short trip"?
