Default towing?

Hi everyone,a quick towing question here.
I have a '97 LS 4x4 -2 door.
I was thinking about using it as a tow vehicle for my 7x14 Pace cargo trailer (2195lbs empty).I'd only be hauling 1 quad+ gear+ some tools.I do have the WD hitch and sway control stuff.I know I'd need a brake controller and tranny cooler.
My main question is...will the lil "S" get the job done,or should I upgrade to a full size??

thanks in advance!!!!

From my experience with that size of trailer, the blazer could do it but it would be easier and more comfortable in a full size truck/SUV. If you did tow it with the blazer you would need to get a trailer with hydraulic brakes or electrically controlled brakes would be a must and a tranny cooler would be a must to keep the transmission cooler and have a longer life.

I'm bumping this thread because it reminded me of another question I had.

I noticed that it seems hard to find hitches for '95-97s that didn't get 'em at the factory. My wife's '01 Jimmy came with one, but the one for her year doesn't fit the one for my year. Anybody know where I could find the right one? Thanks!
