New to the forum. I have a trailblazer question, but it is general question.

I have a 2008 trailblazer, and the rear wiper motor is bad. I bought a new motor, but when I went out to remove the arm, this sucker is ON THERE. Like I removed the nut, but it still seems like its on there.

I sprayed wd-40 down there, didnt seem to help. I didnt want to yank on it too hard because the sheet metal seems to flex, and I didnt want to hurt it.

Any suggestions for pulling off one of these stubborn arms?

Sometimes if you take all the mounting bolts out of the motor , and just screw a spare nut like 1 turn on the shaft you can carefully hold pressure out on the wiper arm and give the nut a few solid whacks with a hammer.

A lot of times that will do the trick, or at least loosen it up enough to where you can wiggle the arm off the splines after. Just make sure to use caution, you don't want to damage anything.

Also, throw some antiseize lube on the shaft of the new motor before you reinstall the wiper arm....Could save you the same headache again someday
