Default Trailblazer SS Hubs

Hello to all!!
I have been wanting the Trailblazer SS wheel on my 00 Blazer.
I guess you all see the problem here, right. The 00 Blazer hub is a 5 stud and the TB is a 6 stud wheel hub.

So the question is...if I went out and bought new 6 stud hubs can they just bolt right onto my 00 Blazer?

My apologize in advance if this question has been asked before...
But I have been curious about this for months.

Personally I've never seen this question asked or answered. From Google images it looks like the shape is similar to the S-series blazer hub, but the only way to find out for sure will likely be for you to find a hub and test-fit it. I'd suggest that you try and find a used one in a Pick-n-Pull yard or from a wrecker so you don't spend a lot of money buying a new one from a store, unless they'll let you return it.

I'm super curious to know the results if you can get this to work. Please post up what you find if you do decide to try this out.

Hey El!!
Thanks for posting so quickly. Any Mods can move this to the Tire & Wheels sections if they desire. I just wasn't sure where to post this.

Yeah, so let me give a bit of some background here. I bought the 00 just last year, Oct '12. It had just Under 200K on the Od. No leaking, no noise, a good solid truck. On top of that it has every creature comfort I liked and wanted. Power Sunroof, windows and locks. 4x4 for MinnSNOWta winters.
But now I want to prolly level it down 4in front and rear. Throw some 20's on it. And I still want to be able to pull my boat and trailer. Kinda make it an SS Clone....if you know what I mean. Throw on the Xtreme front clip roll pan the back bumper.

With all that said, I have another question. I WANT TO GET RID OF THE ROOF RACK!!!!! SOMEONE PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE, tell me how?
Are there plugs someone can buy online in some far away place?
Can you tell I hate the rack? As soon as it's gone it will be in the "free" section.

Anyways, with all that said...I will buy the new 6 stud hub this weekend and see if it will just bolt right into place of the 5 stud and will post the results either way.

Thank you for posting back so fast...
Thank you all for reading my rant!!! hahahaha

So this is the other option aside from the SS wheel. Just incase the hub thing doesn't work out.

It would require at least some frankenstein CV shafts to bolt on the hub bearings and then you gotta do something about the rear still. I started looking into it to see if I could get 6x5.5 lug pattern stuff from an AWD 03-05 Astro/Safari to bolt up simply so I could use some of the many sets of wheels I have collected through a past/present of Nissan, Toyota, and GM full size 1/2 ton 4x4s. If I'm making custom CVs and swapping axles to begin with, I'm just gonna go SAS, easier to just start building a stockpile of S-series wheels (up to 3 sets thus far + scrapped most of a set!)

Not sure if I totally agree. IF the hub will bolt up, and IF if has the same splines as the factory hub then it would be a simple swap. If the hub doesn't match up then he looks at option 2.

For the rear end he should be able to either redrill his axle hubs or just swap in the rear axle from a Trailblazer. It doesn't necessarily need to be a Trailblazer SS. The only thing to be careful with there is to match gears with the front end. An axle swap isn't hard at all.

Making me think... (not a bad thing honestly) My hub searching I basically gave up on after searching Astro/Safaris (wanted to use a rear out of one of them to match everything up easily since they are leaf sprung in the rear as well and would make THAT part basicly bolt in where Trailblazers are coil sprung and would require cutting the spring perches and welding ones in for leafs). I may have prematurely cut my initial research short... Alas I have wheels I like now though and a reason to collect more parts!

True about the Trailblazers being coil sprung. I had forgotten about that.
