You guys are right. I got tunnel vision and was planning on just getting the TCase. I will get a new plug, fill and test. I will report back. With my luck though, I'm sure the TCase is AFU.

I did as you guys suggested. I put a new drain plug in it and filled it up with ATF. The clanking sound has gone away and there seems to be no additional collateral damage.
