transmission questions
first some general info:
2002 blazer 4WD 4.3 lv6
it has the 4l60e tranny 233 transfer case and the 3 button switch.
i am not a tranny guy...i like motors...but when a problem comes up, you gotta try right?
anyway, so you dont have to listen to a long drawn out story the simple question is this...what happens if you try to drive a blazer with the TCCM missing?
Does it go into limp mode? just not go into 4WD?
Thanx

ok, well here is the long of it...
i got the blazer at the beginning of the year. it had been wrecked. i pulled the drive train and plopped it in a 87 wrangler, had the computer reprogrammed and moved the computer over to the jeep also. well i did not have all my ducks in a row and ended up not getting the TCCM from the blazer before getting rid of it. at this point the motor runs great got all the electrical hooked up and working and the only problem keeping me from having a custom exhaust built is that the tranny wont shift from third, seems to shift to second if i do it manually...this is limp mode as far as i can tell. i am just hoping that when i stick the TCCM in it will just pick up and go...ill let you know what happens.

ok, so i got a TCCM from ebay for 60$...disconnected the battery for 10 min and then reconnected it after plugging in the TCCM.
my jeep took off and ran like nobodys business!! the tranny ran exelent, shifted well, WOW it was great! all that time and money and it all came together tonight.
i put it in 4WD and went up the little 4' hill that is my front yard and it whipped up it like it was flat.
im gonna license it on fri and tear up some Tera Ferma on Sat!
