If you keep treating it like that you`ll need a new tranny.

Yea I would say new or rebuilt trans is in your near future , I'm rebuilding a turbo350 that has the same problem . If your mechanicly inclined there actully not that bad to rebuild yourelf . But once people know you can do it , its all you'll be doing .

Here's a simple solution to keep from pissing off your neighbors back in at night!! Then you don't need to use reverse in the am

Default Welcome from Michigan

What is the trans doing in the forward gears? Is it going through them normaly or does it go into 1st hard also.Either the torque converter is shot or the trans is on its way.

had a car that would do this to me every so often except it'd be ANY gear and only when cold - once its going things are fine - never found the cause but to 'fix' it I'd slowly shift down through the gears manually to 1st, hover there for a moment and then select reverse or drive and it'd be fine for several weeks (or days - it was completely random)
