This isn't a serious issue but it has become annoying. I have noticed that sometimes when I turn my car off and crank it back up my trip odometer has reset and it also clears out my codes. What could be causing this and is there an easy way to fix it, like changing the CMOS batt on a computer?

 

Sounds like a weak battery or dirty battery connections. Have these been checked? there is no CMOS battery in the computer, only the one battery.
