Hey i have a knew problem my flywheel has cracked so i am replacing it and i know that there is a flywheel SHIM or SPACER that goes on the front of the fly wheel to the torque converter but the only problem is that there are to different thicknesses that i can buy there is a .025 thickness and there is a .050 thickness i really need to know witch one it is if anyone knows. The purpose of the shim a.k.a. spacer is to keep the flywheel from bending ever so slightly and to prevent the flywheel from cracking but i do not know witch thickness to get. can yall guys help me out.

You should not need a spacer. The only way to determine if you would need a spacer is by measuring your parts using precision instrumentation.

ok what would i use

If you have to ask that question...
Just put it back together with the appropriate flex plate properly oriented and be done with it.

I've never heard of shims in a factory application. I've used washers/spacers between the flex plate and converter before(not everything was stock though). I'd be careful with that since it takes from the bolt engagement between the plate and converter.

The appropriate flex plate is a stock flex plate. No shims. No offsets. Just STOCK! You are reading into things WAY too much and don't have what you are 'reading into'.
Autozone sells a heavy duty flexplate which is likely thicker material, but still, everything in terms of the orientation of the crank & torque converter remains stock. Again, NO SHIMS.
