My 01 blazer the left turn signal does not blink when turned on it just stays on. the blubs are fine. and once in a while the brakes lights come on when the truck is in park. Obviously a short somewhere. Any ideas where to start looking?

 

Hmmm, a connection problem with the blinker handle thingy? I dunno, not my area haha

 

OK I think I found where my prob is cuz now when I turn the ign on smoke comes from the steering wheel also I found in the back where the computer and the onstar crap is the previous own tapped into a pink wire for a set of rear mounted fog lights. Could that be over loading???. There are a set of fog lights and a rechargeable flash light tapped into this pink wire. overloaded maybe?
