turns over no start

I replaced intake gasket now it wont start, I think timing is ok but when you turn it over its smooth for a min then bogs, If any one can help please do THANKS DUSTAN

Sounds like a timing issue. Get that checked first and foremost.

Make sure you abided by the procedure to re-install the distributor!
That should solve your problem...
