Unknown wire with ring terminal
Hello,
I'm in the home stretch of replacing my intake manifold gasket and I ran into a wire that I can't identify. I'm pretty confident that it wasn't hooked up when I was disassembling but maybe it was and I just overlooked it. Here's a picture.
It's a ring terminal with a green and black wire going to it. It emerges from the main wiring harness just below the ignition coil. I'm thinking body ground but don't know where it would go?? Any help is much appreciated, it's been a grueling process. Done for the evening.

Thanks for the response. As I was looking back at my disassembly pictures I noticed this one. You can see the same green and black wire in the foreground. The picture was taken before I started taking anything out of the manifold, Any chance it could go to the back of the alternator bracket as a ground? Though I just tried that and have no power, though that could be from a problem elsewhere
Just wanted to post back that I found the solution. I attached the green/black ring terminal to the stud on the alternator along with the red power wire from the battery. All the power is restored. Now on to TDC the engine and reinstall the distributor.
