I am getting ready to remove and clean my MAF on 2003 4.3 2wd and it looks like I need to remove a electrical connection. My question is do I need to reset anything, or un-hook anything else electrical. Will it send any message to my SES light? I have done a search and everything that I can find just says how easy it, but I can find nothing about removing the electrical connection or re-hooking it.

it is easy, just dont snap the connectors off and you will be fine, then reconnect it the way you found it. just make sure you only clean it with maf cleaner...and dont touch the sensor itself

no battery reset or anything like that..just dont restart the engine till you all reconnected
