Vacuum heater question
Hey all!
I took off my dashboard yesterday and saw the vacuum tubes that run to the three "pumps" or whatever you call them. When I suck on the one that goes to the top one, it works fine. Same thing with the one on the right (it opens the blower motor), I can see it move. But the one on the left (the one responsible for the feet to get heat) is different from the other two, it has two vacuum tubes going to it and when I suck on either one of them it does not do anything. But when I plug one with my finger and suck on the other it seems to move. Is it supposed to work like that, or do I have a faulty one, is there a way to test it? The original problem was that when the switch was set to "feet" it would blow to the windshield??!! Also, if I do have a faulty vacuum "pump" where do I get a replacement.
Thanks in advance.

What year truck?
Not that it matters too much, but it does have some important relavence.
No vacuum pump. Vacuum comes from teh engine. Dependiong on year of the truck depends on where it enters the cab of the truck. Earlier models its int eh center of the firewall in the engine compartment, on the drivers side of the engine. Later years is comes in the drivers side fender on the firewall. It also provides vacuum to your t-case, if you have one, and your front axle, again, if you have one.
Edited: Never mind on what year truck, I saw it after I posted. yours will be ont eh drivers side fender.
No idea on teh lower door.
