Actually, I'm not talking about the dash lights, I'm talking about the dome lights. Up on my roof, between my sunroof and review mirror, is a console that tells outside temp, est. mpg, inst mpg, and direction traveling. There's also the control for the sunroof and 3 buttons that can be programmed to auxillary items, such as a garage door opener. On that console are 2 lights. You control these lights by pressing the lens to turn on and off. These lights don't work. Fuse is good. I'm trying to figure out how to access these bulbs. I've figured out how to remove the lenses, luckily without breaking them, but still can't access the bulb. There's a single screw towards the front of this console. I've removed the screw but it seems there's clips towards the back of the console that hold it also. I'm unsure how to get this console cover off without damaging anything.

Oh the irony...

I love when people like you come in and try to do this. The best part is when we figure out what you're doing, we pull the radio back out, leave the dash apart, and refuse service.
And step 1 of the install once the vehicle is in the bay is to test all the components and note what works/what doesn't.

Heres what I did, and it works, go to a place like circuit city, and buy a deck over $100, and get the free install. Then check everything! Make it thier problem, seriously, then they fix it for nothing - the cost of the speaker if blown.

Don't know if they're called the Map lights or not. These are NOT the ones that some models have mounted on the rearview mirror. There's only 2 lights. I would call them the dome lights, as they're the only lights on the ceiling. Neither owners manual or Chiltons has any information on them, that I can find. Although Chiltons doesn't even show the right "under hood" pic...lol. Might have to get a Haynes to see if it's any better.

OOK...mine doesn't have that, although it's probably similar to the ones on my wife's Jimmy. I haven't had to mess with those yet, so I don't know either. Sorry.
