AC Delco or Delphi fuel pump only!
The 800-121 connects to the fuel filter outlet.
The 3/8" fuel injection hose connects to the 800-121 using a clamp.
The 1/4" MFL X 3/8" hose barb adapter connects to the other end of the 3/8" fuel injection hose using another clamp.
The fuel pressure tester connects to the 1/4" MLF adapter.
If I had a picture of it, I'd post it I have the adapter somewhere, but I never use it. I made a different set up that connects inline at the fuel filter outlet. Substantially more expensive to build, (~$60) but it checks regulated pressure and leakdown, along with pump max output pressure and leakdown, and you can run the engine while it's connected.

Dorman 800-121 is very easy to disconnect when you're finished.
Dorman Products - Search Results
Dorman 800-082 can be used a a substitute, (at a cheaper price):
Dorman Products - 800-082
A good auto parts store will have both of them in stock.
The fitting in your link is 1/4"NPT x 3/8" hose barb and will NOT work.
You need 1/4"MFL x 3/8" hose barb. Here is a link for what you need:
SS 1/4 MFL x 3/8 barb

The 800-082 is cheaper, and it will work fine, it's just a little tricky to disconnect, (need the tool). Don't go cheap on the hose or clamps. It has to be marked "fuel injection rated" on the side of the hose. Don't use the "worm gear" type hose clamps, they will cut the hose and leak.... not a lot of fun having 100psi fuel squirting everywhere. Use the fuel injection type clamps.

The connector that you have on the vehicle now, is in fact an 800-082. The 3/8" fuel injection line that you buy will go onto the 800-082 very tight, probably need to lube it first. Make sure it goes all the way on, then clamp it.
The clamps that come with the Actron are worm gear, don't use them. Use these: Autocraft 3/8" Automotive Fuel Injection Hose Clamp (4-Pack) AC52F16V: Get the best Hose Clamp at Advance Auto Parts

the last piece of the adapter will be coming in the mail either tmr or tuesday. I just went to start it and the rpm started at 1000 then got really rough down to 500, then revved to 1500 and settled at 900 smooth idle. and the IAC is brand new OE delphi part and throttle body was just cleaned thoroughly a week ago, do you think this could all be a related issue?
since the all the pieces to my adapter didnt come in yet, i did the fuel pressure test and leak down at the service port. (just to make sure the gauge worked properly, i do know i have to do the test at the filter first)
pressure never made it up to 60, i believe it was 58. turned off the pump (didnt crank it) and it stayed at 55psi for over 10 minutes, i believe it was about 15 minutes and i pulled it and it was still at 55, so no noticeable leakdown at the service port.
it sounds to me (before i test at the filter) that the engine is being starved of fuel pressure between the pump and regulator. if it fails at the filter, should i try replacing the fuel filter then retesting before assuming it is the fuel pump/in the tank?
