Default Vibration/rubbing when braking to a stop

Hi all, new guy here with my first post.
I have a 98 Blazer and just replaced front brakes pads and rotors. Ever since I have had a slipping/rubbing/vibration occuring as I approach a stop (less than 3 mph) like the brakes are slipping. Brakes work great at all other speeds. I need to get this remedied as it is the Family Truckster for hauling the kids and don't wan't any mishaps.
I used a clamp to push caliper piston in and never open bleeder screws. Fluid is full.

Thanks!!

Could be pad chatter... What did you use for pads & rotors? How did the sliders look?

How are the rear brakes? Are you confident that it is the front brakes?

Swartlkk,

The rear brakes are next to do. I am not oppossed to the idea as they still need replacing, but it started right after front job. What are the sliders? are they the clips that hold the pads in? I did not replace those, but they did not look to need it. The pads and rotors are just aftermarket OEM replacement parts. I also replaced the drivers side wheel hub assembly at the time, too, if that helps the diag.
Pad chatter sound like an accurate description, as I haven't experienced it before...heavy sound, but chattery/heavy.
How do I remedy chatter?
Thanks,
I appreciate your input

The sliders are what keep the caliper on the caliper bracket while allowing it (the caliper) to move in and out (float) in response to brake activation and pad wear. If the sliders are not free, the caliper can bind and not place even pressure on the rotor.

Your vehicle has Antilock brakes, and the "less than 3 mph" chatter sounds like ABS activation. It's usually caused by excessive air gap on a wheel speed sensor. Here's how to check it: https://blazerforum.com/forum/tech-articles-diy-29/brakes-low-speed-below-5-mph-abs-activation-%5Bspeed-sensor-testing-adjustment%5D-26941/

Something to keep in mind: On vehicles with ABS, the flex line should be "line locked" and the caliper bleeder screw opened, before pushing the piston back into the caliper. This avoids sending debris back into the ABS unit. If the wheel speed sensors check out OK, this might be the problem.
