Default warm weather blower

In the cold of winter here in Illinois, my heater blower acquires a mind of its own. Right now and throughout summer, it works on all fan speeds. In winter, somedays it'll work, then die on all speeds, then may pop on all of a sudden. I have read allot of the posts here re: this matter. To trouble shoot now, I feel would be a waste of time since it works well. My question is What would be more sensitive to temp changes the resistor or blower ? Is the only way to tell is troubleshoot when NOT working? Any feed back appreciated.

Mine does the same thing. I'm going to try replacing the motor this weekend and see if it makes any difference.

Sounds like a blower motor. When the resistor pack goes, it does not come back.

Please do post your finding once you install another motor. I have a 96 LS as well, same symptoms as noted. My brother-in-law's 95 Jimmy is identical too. Hit a bump and it's on. I wonder about the relays as much as the motor.
