The head was defective...
A water port next to #2 cylinder was elongated and encroaching the head gasket.
I have found a machine shop worthy of quality and reliable craftsmanship.
Many thanks to the guys at Rebel Rebuilders serving the Little Rock area.
Thank you for your time George, I hope to be installing a fresh head wednesday and hopefully going to the tire store by the 4th of July

yes sir, not too awful to work.
ask me after i get torque wrench back in its box next week
