Is this weird?

I bought a used 2002 blazer 4x4 with ridiculously low mileage, 44,000. Good shape, but many parts are inexplicably loose, no remote door locks, only one key and no manual. I can't ever get the VIN to work right on any of the website and only the GM dealer can seem to pull it up for vehicle info. Here's the VIN:
1GNDT13W92K200792
Several people have looked at it and expect that with the "2007" in the number should indicate that it's a2007 car but it's not, it's a 2002. Again, carfax and GM can pull it up but I still get a weird feeling about this. Anybody that knows about VIN codes think this is unusual?

Well not sure what your asking..But i pulled your VIN up on Carfax shows its a 2002 4dr model and has 11 records showing..Records could be accidents, and Owner to Owner..Like traded to Dealerships..etc.. if your worried bout anything pay the 1 time Carfax and find out about it...

Oh yeah, Igot the Carfax report before I bought it and itonly showedthe dealership transfers, transition from lease to purchase and maybe a reposession(?) but nothing to indicate anything else.
I just wanted to ask someonethat knew how VIN numbers were designated that if the vehicle year was suppose to be within the number? If so, I couldn't understand why mine would have a "2007" in it instead ofa "2002" unless the GM did some weird stuff like bought back this vehicle and gave it a new VIN.
Again,any help is appreciated!

I may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure those last numbers indicate more of the number it was off the line, not the year it was produced. I think it's only a coincidence that "2007" occurs in that VIN...

Yup, that is just the plant sequence number. Your truck was 200792 out of that plant, that model year. Doesn't necessarily mean that yours was the 200792 blazer off the line, just the 200792 vehicle. I think that everyone went away from blocking out certain numbers of sequence numbers for models/makes a long time ago and just went to a computerized number'em as ya' see 'em system.
Here's the actual VIN breakdown for our trucks:
