Default Weird starting

I have a 2004 Blazer 4X4. It runs great. Only thing is lately I noticed when I start it on a cold start after it has been sitting for a few hours it seems to need to crank more than when I start it when its warm. Also it seems like the engine cranks a little rough too.

BUT if the engine is warm, or has just been running shortly before I turned it off, it will start
smoothly, and instantly when I turn the key.
It has never really done this before until the past few days.

I've changed the fuel filter every year when I "winterize" the truck. But I am embarrased to say, I never have changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. It just hit 83,000 today too.
I guess I should do a tuneup haha

yea, that could be your problem, the plugs are platinum so they are good for 100,000K (or so they say), but i the wires, cap and rotor arent. I have found the stock AC delco plugs to be the best ones and NAPA Belden wires and NAPA Echelin parts to work great.

My 201 has been doing the EXACT same thing! its hard to start when its been sitting (over night or at work) but after the first crank up its fine until it sits for several hours. I changed my filter last week and it was fine but now its started it again. going to check filter again.

Yeah, its a very weird problem. Its kinda getting on my nerves haha
I'm going to change my plugs, wires, cap, and rotor but I am not expecting it to be fixed after that because if those parts were bad, I would figure the truck would run bad all the time, and it runs like its brand new. Its just the weird starting problem from a cold start, or if it has been sitting for a few hours. I tried STP fuel system cleaner and it did nothing.

I was thinking if anyone here would think the problem might be the ignition coil, or module???
