I just read this whole thread again. kristoph30 suggested crossfire and change the dist cap on June 2. Way to call them kristoph30!

Im glad he got it running! It seems like I always get burnt on the simple problem that makes it look like a huge problem.
Ive gotten myself buried into a problem so deep i couldnt see the forest for all the trees. Sometimes you have to "phone a friend" LOL. I dont know how many times my buddy came over and found something obvious that I missed. Once it was forgetting to put the rotor on the distributor before the cap! Rotor was sitting on the back seat so i never noticed it!.

I may have been more hassled by it if it was my main vehicle. Probably would have been done a long time ago if i really needed it. lol Stupid cap and timing cover were new and both were junk. lol
