coming to work today, my blazer just went dead going down the road. no warning or problems to let me know it would happen. the fuel pump is working, I can hear it when I turn the key. it is also not throwing any codes. engine turns but sounds like to fire is there.

The first thing I'd check would be the battery. When mine was going dead, i could turn the key to the acc. position and on position and all the lights and stuff would work, but when i tried to start it, it wouldn't go. Also, when my battery was dying, the battery would start to die if I was at a stop light and didn't rev it a little. Might be a little different in your case cause yours at least turns. I don't know why the check engine light wouldn't come on if there wasn't something wrong within the engine. My girlfriends jimmy died in the middle of the road when her alternator died. So I'd check your electrical stuff first. Just my opinion.

Back to the basics. If you use starter fluid through the throttle body, will it start? If so, then you know you have air and spark, but not fuel.

I currently have the same issue! I dida separate post though, didn't see this one. Mine died on the way to work, but later that day it was fine. Seems like an intermittent problem for me.
