Default What happened to my temp gauge?

Hi. Just replaced my heater core. Now , my temp gauge points straight down. Is there a way to fix/ recalibrate? Its really on my nerves. The gauge cluster wasn't dropped or handled roughly just didn't come out the same. Any replies are welcome. Thanks.

I was working on my LIM gasket replacement and had this "problem" after filling the system and letting the Blazer get up to temp. At some point, the temp gauge needle fell to a straight down position. It was sitting at idle and I hadn't done anything with the dashboard, so I became a little upset when I saw it. I just reached in and smacked the cluster front a couple times and the needle became unstuck and rose right up to the proper position. I hope this helps you, buddy.

You know, the funny thing is, after a few shirt trips the next evening, it had righted itself and now shows proper operating temperature. It was a Christmas miracle or something. Thank you for the tip!
