Question What is my next step?

98 Blazer 4.3L
Intake Gasket was replaced after leaking coolant. Good news, no leaks. Bad news, P0303.
Have changed plugs, wires, cap & rotor, pcv valve and a vacuum hose I found a hole in, cleaned EGR and replaced gasket. Still have the misfire, and only on #3.
What should be my next step? A friend suggested compression test, but the plugs removed were not fouled with oil. A little dark, but not wet.
Thanks for any feedback.

Is it running rough? Any noticeable difference in idle when you pull number 3 wire?

Nothing noticable. Runs rough either way.

Do you actually have a spark at number three? Did you change the plugs yourself? The only reason I ask is that number three is a bear to get to sometimes and someone may have skipped it, snapped it, or left it a little loose.

Did it myself, and yes it was a pain to get to. I'm sure it's in there straight and snug. Called on all my patience to do it right!
Was talking with a guy at work last night about this...is it possible that the distributor could be off a tooth after putting it back together after the gasket replacement?

If it was, it there would be a problem with every cylinder, not just #3 I would think.
