What sensor is this????????

Default What sensor is this????????

I saw a plug connector on my truck uncliped today while working on it. I can see it's supposed to plug into the sensor on the drivers side domn near the spark plugs. I'ts a sensor that goes directly into the block. Blue 2 pronged clip.

coolant temperature sensor i think is what your talking about

Not sure what color wires come off of it, but it's a 2 prong connector with a blue seal.

Not to be mean but...theres about 20 2pin connectors with a blue seal under the hood lol.

True, but most of them are on top of the motor. This one connects to a sensor on drivers side on the side of the engine a little above the spark plugs.

Is the knock sensor in the same location on the 2ng Gen's?

I'm not sure it looks like it could be the knock sensor. What kind of problems would not having this hooked up cause????

The knock sensor is located on the back of the block behind the bank 1 cylinder head. The knock sensor should be a single wire hook up with a dark blue wire.

The sensor that is in the bank 1 cylinder head is the coolant temperature sensor and will have a two wire connector with one yellow and one black wire.
