whats wrong with my 4x4?

Question whats wrong with my 4x4?

okay on my 98 4x4 i replaced the control modual for the 4x4 the push button the vacum control switch and the transfer case motor and it still wont shift into or from 4x4 every time i push the button all i hear is a clicking noise coming from my control modual is there a broken wire or what idk anymore need help please.........

Did you check your fuses my did that same thing until finally it just stayed in 4x4 and mine just the fuse o thought for sure i needed all new 4x4 on it. Just a thought.

Is the transfer case engaging the front driveshaft? If so you probably have a problem with the vacuum system that engages the front differential (vacuum actuator, vacuum lines off, or leaking).
