Default Whats wrong with my truck??

I have a 99 Blazer. im trying to keep this thing alive because it was my dads. but i put so much work into it, im ready to give up. So the only way i can start my car is with the auto start on the alarm. when i put the key in, it doesn't crank. Basically doesn't do anything just lights turn on. It will start with the auto start tho. When i hit the brake to shift all my guages go off and the lights stay on. i posted a video of how it sounds. When i hit the gas it does not accelerate like it should, in the video my foot is all the way down on the gas. it takes a minuet to gain speed. Please let me know whats going on.

sounds like possibly your auto start may have an anti-grind relay that may be bad.

first of all, its a blazer, not a truck....lol and second i agree with coolasice, u may have a bad relay thats causing the shorts in ur lighting and starting.

you'll have to get familiar with the remotestart/alarm unit and see how it is wired up, if you have a model number we can look up the unit to see what it has for options, but my best guess is that the alarm is disabling your key. When you remote start and then turn the key and press the brakes the remote start system deactivates which is why your guages are going out... something is wired incorrectly.

it would if some wires came loose/were poorly connected, follow the wires and see if maybe a wire came loose in the steering column where they spliced in for the start system
