Default Wheel wobble noise?

Hey folks, i have an 02 Blazer 4.3L 4wd, when i get over about 20mph, i can hear what sounds like a tire is wobbling, coupled with vibration in sync with the wobble noise.

What I found before was somebody forgot to hang the rim over those stupid brake rotor keepers and the tire really was wobbling.

ANyone else have this issue???

Not sure what you are referring to by "brake rotor keepers"...

If there is a vibration & noise, you should get it up nad inspect the suspension/drivetrain until you find the source. Most likely, it is a problem with the wheel bearing or CV shaft, but could be something as simple as a tire imbalance.

I believe what he is referring to are the keepers used in production. GM slides on the rotor and then a clip to hold the rotor in place while the truck moves down the line. The keeper sticks out 1/16" or so from teh face of the rotor/drum, not a problem on stock wheels. The stock wheels have a recess around the stud holes for the keepers. If you swap to aftermarket wheels, they generally dont have the recess for the keepers. The simple solution is to remove the keepers and throw them away, they serve no purpose once the vehicle has left the dealer lot.

As for vibrations. If its not he keepers. Read this first and then post up.
