Why is my eater core is leaking
1997 blazer 4x4-I never got really good heat in the winter so todayI figuredI would try flushing out my heater core. And now afterI flushed it out its all of a sudden leaking in the truck. It never leaked before, so why is it leaking right afterI flushed it out?

RE: Why is my eater core is leaking
The most likely cause is that there was a blockage in the core which resulted in corrosion. The blockage was sealing the corroded heater core. When you flushed the core, you removed the blockage and now have a leak. Happens more than you would think.

Never mind it stopped now.wasent dripping coolant, was only dripping the waterI flushed it out with I'm guessing. I still dont understand why it would drip water all of a sudden then stop. Thanks for the help though!
