Window problems
So my neighbors window quit working, I know it's either the switch or a short but before I tell him to replace the switch I wanna test it.
The window quit working, then worked again, then quit.
No struggling or anything from motor.
The switch plug has 5 wires red blue light blue brown and black
I tried bridging 3 of them with ignition on. No luck
Passenger window works from this switch.
By bridging the right connections I should be able to get the passenger window to go up and down and thus the drivers side also if it is the switch.
Help ? How do I use a paper clip to bridge it ?

2000 schematic does not show a red wire at the power window switch, neither does 1999.
The left window motor has two wires: dark blue and brown. Dark green is hot with the ignition in the RUN position. Black is ground at all times. If the right window works, the dark green wire and circuit breaker are good and the black wire, (ground) is good.
Unplug the switch: Connect dark green to dark blue, and black to brown. Window should go up. Reverse the polarity...dark green to brown, and dark blue to black, and the window should go down. If that works.... bad switch.

I had/have a problem like that but my drivers side window wouldn't work when it got cold, ie; below 40 degrees here in AZ. So I bought a new motor and 4 yrs later it still sets in the box...Some day I just might change it out....

So I don't have the colors you described, well kinda lemme explain.
One flat 5 pin plug colors are
dark blue
Light blue
Black (bigger plug assuming ground)
Tan /light brown
Dark brown.
This plug lines up with the windows switches
There is another plug on the same unit 2x2 has wires colored
Dark green
Light blue
Orange
Brown
White
Black
I think this is for the power locks. It does line up with it
So. I bridged the 5pin with the other connecter just like you said. With the two connectors
From dark green 2x2 to dark blue 5pin and black 5pin to brown 2x2
It blew the fuse.
I tried to think outside the box and bridge from both connectors. I'm assuming both are not tied together ?
Also did try every combination on the 5pin with my two paperclips, passenger window won't go down or up (works on the switch)
I also Did bridge it brown 5 pin to black 2x2 and dark blue to dark green. Nothing happened. So I don't know which combination was correct. I would have assumed one plug for power locks one for windows
Help :/ thanks

Gotta unplug both connectors and jump the terminals in the harness connectors as follows:
For the driver window: in the 5 pin connector, you'll need the dark blue, brown, and black wires. In the other connector you'll need the dark green wire.
Simultaneously jump black to dark blue with one jumper wire, and brown to dark green with another jumper wire.
Next, simultaneously jump black to brown and dark green to dark blue. Window should go the opposite direction.
