Default Windshield weatherstrip came out

My 96 Blazer accumulated about 2' of snow yesterday--I knocked most of it off then went to town--as the snow on the roof started to slide off, it peeled out the upper windshield weatherstrip.... the whole piece that covers the top of the windshield. Is this difficult to reinstall? any special tricks or do I just try to push it back into place? have to wait till it stops snowing so I can dry the grooves of course so havent had a chance to try yet--thought Id check here first---thanks

Default

you could glue it back on. but if it starts to leak you will need to have a glass shop fix it as its part of the windshield seal. trim and weather strip are one unit.
i asked my son about this for my 2000 blazer. he works for diamond autoglass in utah.
in case your wondering about source of info.
