wipers, A/C blower, gas gauge, temp. gauge, 4X4 selector and the transmission select
Good day, I have been trying to get to the bottom of this issue and I hope somebody out there can give me some info. On my '98 Blazer all of a sudden the wipers, A/C blower, gas gauge, temp. gauge, 4X4 selector and the transmission selection indicator have stopped working. The rig is in nice shape and I have just put a fair amount of repair in to the front end, I really don't want to scrap it but I will need the blower this winter. Anybody know what's up?

The ignition switch and grounds are both good possibilities. However, all of the things that are inoperative don't use the same ground, but they may use the same feed through the ignition switch. There are 3 voltage feeds, (hot at all times) to the ignition switch: 2 red wires and 1 orange wire. They are all in the same connector at the ignition switch and feed several different circuits when the switch is turned. Each of those circuits feed separate fuses both in the underhood and the instrument fuse panels. There could be a poor or open circuit in one of those feed wires going to or from the ignition switch. You'll need to back probe each wire in the ignition switch connector, in each position, (start, run, crank, acc) to verify if this is the problem. Pay close attention to: pink, white, brown and the orange wires, yup, two orange wires, one is hot at all times, the other should be hot only in the RUN position.
