Wow...I have never seen the floor shift for the 4wd before, have seen floor shift for the transmission, but never the 4wd.....and those fender flares! Are those factory or aftermarket? At one time there were Bushwacker flares available for the 4dr Blazers but I was far too late in trying to get them; they were discontinued.

Soooo did you break the 4wd switch?

Those are factory fender flares, and yes, my meat hooks broke the switch, should be getting the new one from summit tomorrow.

I'm actually trying to get rid of that 96', had a bad knock, started tearing it down and between my business and school haven't had time to finish and now the motor is in pieces in the back, know anyone interested?

So put in the new switch and it still only flashes when trying to shift into 4HI or 4Lo

Also check/clean the TCM connector in addition to the vacuum hoses. There is the vacuum switch located about center of firewall/cowl; check to see if holding vacuum.
After vacuum lines then it is time to check the actuator motor connector. After than time to remove the motor off the TC. Then you can rotate the TC mode with a wrench just to make sure the TC is not locked-up or binding. And then with the motor still off, turn engine on, select 4HI and see if the motor moves.
(I think you can do this, not 100% sure as I have never had to do.)
