does anybody know why the towing limit for a 2003 blazer xtreme is 2000#? I've seen some websites claim 5000# but recently found in my car manual that its 2000#...... I have ben pulling about a 4200# boat for the past year and a half, only about 10 miles at at time to the lake, and have had no problems..... I'm just wondering why it is so low when the other blazer aren't

Just a guess, but I would imagine it has to do the the ZQ8 suspension. It was made more for sport than utility.

 

I read 6,500 on the owners manual. I may have to read it again to comfirm
