03 Blazer and Avital 4103 Remote Door Locking
Hi,
I know this may be a bit specific of an application but since it seems like a very common remote start unit, someone may know whats wrong.
I replaced a previous remote start unit that stopped working with a Avital 4103 remote start in my 2003 Blazer. I am wondering if anyone knows about the functionality of the lock/unlock feature.
Thank you!

- Using the previous unit, if you hit lock or unlock on the remote multiple times, the lock/unlock mechanism would work as expected each time.
- Using the new unit, it will only lock on the first remote lock press. If you hit the button again, the lights will flash but it will not try to lock again. It will only attempt to lock again after clicking unlock first.
- Unlock works as expected and it will try to unlock the doors each time you hit the remote unlock button.
Thank you!

No the 4103 should be the same as what ever else you had with locking and unlocking. they both NEG triggers for lock and unlock. nothing really fancy with the locking system of a blazer.
wow i missed that one. i read 2000 didnt realize you had an 03. thats a lil bit more involved. but if done correctly you shouldnt have an issue with locking or unlocking the vehicle with the 4103
