Default 1.5 to double din

I was thinking of upgrading the stereo but I read somewhere that I would need a double din for a touch screen? I have a 99 blazer 4 door lt. How much work is it and is it hard? I've torn the blazer and put it back togrther other then major engine block repairs.

I cant help 100%, but do a google search for double din in second gen blazer. That is usually what I link people to who ask this.

2003-2005 had the double-DIN dash. Just swing by your local wreckers. Pretty sure its 2 screws above the cluster, and 2 screws under the lower knee panel, and then the whole trim panel pops off. You'll probably want to put the steering column in the lowest position, and put the shifter in 1st to give yourself more room. The newer double-DIN dash trim panels are compatible with any S-series from 1998-2005.
