Default 1999 S10 Blazer aftermarket stereo problems

I have an S-10 Blazer that I have replaced the stock Delco stereo in (Model # 09375925). I have replaced it with an aftermarket Pioneer head unit. Everything is wired and working fine with the new head unit, but I do have some questions with the wiring.

Below is an exact mock up of the old connector right off the Delco stereo. Can someone please tell me exactly what each wire does? Granted, I have already hooked up the new stereo, and it is working, but I have some extra wires that have no home, plus I would like to have this information for future use.

Secondly, I do have another problem. After the install of my new Pioneer head unit, my speedometer and odometer have stopped working. They light up, but the needle on the speedometer doesn't move, and the odometer displays mileage, but it doesn't go up.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

And for the speedo and odo check to make sure the wires are connected behind gauges

Please tell me you didn't cut the stock harness? If so, WHY?!?! A wire harness is only 10 dollars and I can guarantee, if hooked up properly, you'll have NO problems. If you've cut the stock harness (and I hope you've learned from your mistake) go to the junk yard, get a new harness and pay the damn money to do it right!

I found this in my haynes manual:

I have the auto volume function on my delco radio so there must be a wire carrying the vss signal going to the radio. Maybe that's your problem with the speedo and the tacho? Vss wire connected to the wrong terminal?
