Default aftermarket stereo harness

I have a 1993 s10 blazer, and I'm trying to install a kenwood kdc135 head unit. I also purchased a scosche wiring harness. So, I color coded the wires all together, from the scosche harness and the headunit, and I had 3 wires left over. The two orange wires for illumination and dimmer, and the black and white amplifier ground. However, when I plugged it all into my car, all that I heard was a constant chime. I tried it again, and there was no sound. Any help??

Ps. There's a second mini harness in my dash, what's that for?
