2door rear panel removal help
I want to replace the rear 6x9 speakers in my 99 2door. How do I get the rear panels off without breaking them? Already cracked one...whoops.
Also, any custom sub boxes around that don't take up the entire rear cargo area? Just looking to add a little bass to my truck since the sound sucks. I have a 50Wx4 head unit and replaced the front speakers with some Wal-Mart 5.25" that have NO BASS.

The rear panels have to be taken loose at the floor behind the door and at the top. The back seats will have to come out to facilitate that as well. Then panels then attach all the way to the back of the truck. If you want to get to just the 6x9's you'll have to at least take the rear seats loose to get the panels far enough out of the way to get to the speakers.
They build these damn things like chinese puzzle boxes.
As for a sub, there's not anything you can buy that's any kind of real stealthy that will do you any real good. If you want to add some bass to the truck without taking up a ton of room the smallest you can do and get acceptable output from would be a single 10 or 12 in a sealed enclosure. Small enough to not take up the entire cargo area yet still able to provide some decent output. It will depend more on what you're looking for output wise and the budget you're trying to do it in.
